First of all, let me just say that there is nothing wrong with a tight budget! So many wonderful, creative things come about because you can’t just throw money at them.
Check your resources
To start, check resources locally: there are a lot of resources out there for cost-effective printing you can do yourself online that will cut costs way down, even for weddings.
Small gestures mean a lot?
You can make things even more beautiful and meaningful when you use small live plants rather than huge bouquets. Guests aren’t real likely to remember the flowers at the center of the table, but they will remember a welcome note tucked in to everyone’s napkin. That costs almost nothing!
Splurge on entertainment
It’s no problem cutting small corners, but when it comes to engaging/ entertaining guests, this is not where you want to cut those edges. You want to ensure that it’s going to enhance the purpose of the event.
Food and Beverage costs
Food & drink are my favorite part of any event! However, the catering doesn’t need to be fancy to be delicious. Keep it simple! Try cupcakes as opposed to a large cake, a few signature cocktails rather than a full bar. You can also set up a water station rather than offering bottled water.
